Kuwait, January 18, 2018: Ensuring an unprecedented experience when visiting its display of vehicles, Chevrolet Alghanim stood out at the Kuwait Motor Show 2018 with the unveiling of Chevrolet’s most powerful car ever, the 2019 Corvette ZR1, as well as its most advanced electric vehicle, the Bolt EV, and the Tahoe RST, held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah al-Mubarak al-Sabah, and in the presence of the US Ambassador to Kuwait, Mr. Lawrence R. Silverman, government officials and representatives from General Motors (GM).
Aiming to attract the youth and automotive fans, Chevrolet Alghanim presented an interactive and unique car displays which also included a display of the 2019 and 2018 models of its best-ever lineup. The exclusive unveiling and the new cars are all a reason not to miss out on the Chevrolet Alghanim display at the Show where visitors can explore and enjoy the generous lineup of the latest Chevrolet models.
Standing out as the unchallenged star of the show, the 2019 Corvette ZR1 is simply a supercar that pushes Corvette’s performance legacy with the highest power, greatest track performance and most advanced technology in its production history. The ZR1’s LT5 6.2L V-8 engine advances Corvette’s supercharging legacy, which began with the 2009 sixth-generation ZR1 and continued with the 2015 seventh-generation Z06. The LT5 delivers the highest output ever for a Chevrolet production vehicle, thanks in part to a new, more-efficient intercooled supercharger system that offers 52% more displacement than the Z06’s LT4 supercharger.
The unveiling of the Corvette ZR1 was supported by the Kuwait Corvette Club, which attended in support of the latest achievement of Corvette which is sure to attract all sports cars enthusiasts in Kuwait.
And for the environmental conscious, the Bolt EV positions itself as a game changer in the electric vehicle space in the world. Packed with innovation, the Bolt EV leads in its segment with performance, and is one of the most affordable and practical long-range electric vehicles on the market today. The Chevrolet Bolt EV can achieve 520 kilometers of range on a single charge, with the ability to store 150 kilometers worth of range in just a 30-minute charge.
As for SUV lovers, the Chevrolet Tahoe RST is the most powerful production Tahoe to date. Its showcase is certain to fuel the passion for performance Chevrolet shares with its local fans. Aside from the cosmetic enhancements, the Tahoe RST packs an advanced powertrain deeply rooted in Chevrolet’s performance range. Sharing the same 6.2L V8 in the Camaro SS and Corvette Stingray, it’s coupled with General Motor’s latest 10-speed transmission which made its debut on the Camaro ZL1 earlier this year.

Known as the king of the desert, the Silverado introduces its Street Edition, targeting the youth, and maintaining its position as the most selling pickup in its class in Kuwait for the last two years. The Silverado Street Edition comes with a standard 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine that delivers 355HP. It is coupled with available features such as 22-inch chrome wheels, a special paint job, the Street Scene 4-part body kit and the Retrax Bed cover.
As for the Malibu Sport Edition, it comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 250 HP. The Malibu Sport Edition comes with the sport accessory package, and features 11 available active safety technologies that keep drivers and passengers safe on the road, and an 8-inch touchscreen with navigation.
The Trailblazer Black Edition showcases an aggressive body kit in black to match its high performance, off-road capabilities and advanced technology. The Trailblazer comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine tuned to offer better performance and improved fuel economy, which produces 275 horsepower, the most powerful in its class. Inside, the Trailblazer boasts a 7-passenger seating and is newly designed dashboard and front console with a contemporary feel. The car ensures maximum comfort in its front sports design, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED Daytime Running Lights, as well as a 7-inch Chevrolet MyLink touchscreen with Apple CarPlay compatibility.
Latest models introduced:
Introduced in Kuwait for the very first time, the all-new 2018 Equinox provides customers with standard features that raise the bar for base models. The car’s 1.5-liter turbocharged engine delivers 170 HP and is equipped with the 7-inch Chevrolet MyLink touchscreen and Passive Entry and Push Button Start (PEPS) feature. With 17-inch alloy wheels, the 2018 Equinox comes with enhanced safety features that include a rear sensor and four airbags. Customers can choose to opt to upgrade the features of the car with the 2.0L turbocharged engine that delivered 252 HP.
A for the all-new 2018 Traverse, the newly introduced car is for the go-getters, adventure seekers and the family that’s always in motion. The midsize SUV comes with a standard 3.6L V6 engine with 310 HP, the 7-inch Chevrolet MyLink touchscreen, 18-inch alloy wheels, 8-passenger seating, and an impressive power and safety features to prevent collisions and ensure the driver and passengers enjoy every moment of their journey.
